How the Selection Works
We treat fairness as a product feature, not a footnote.
Entries are generated automatically
Each active member receives entries based on their tier — every month, with no action required.
The ticket list is sealed
Right before the draw, every ticket of the month is sorted deterministically and hashed (SHA-256). The fingerprint is published — any tampering breaks it.
A cryptographic seed picks the winner
A 256-bit seed (crypto.randomBytes) is combined with the sealed ticket list via HMAC-SHA256. The first 8 bytes mod N give the winning index. Seed is revealed publicly — anyone can recompute.
Live public announcement
The selection is broadcast on the 1st of every month and archived for member audit.
